I personally find Sonic very cute with his big eyes. The body proportion is something I'd need some time to get used to. And I really like his voice, Ben Schwartz fits him very nice <3

I'm a little sad they showed so few of Jim Carrey, but I guess it's for good - it's just the first trailer.

    I will say this, this design does seem to translate a lot better in traditional 2D as opposed to what the movie is trying to go for.

    Photorealism is the new hype, and it's as cancerously overused as any other trend, like it was with motion controls, graphic bloom and color desaturation.

    Hell calling that new Sonic photorealistic is giving that movie too much credit. Not hating on the CGI artists who worked on it (probably did what they could with the budget that they had) but the CG in the trailer looked so bad it makes the animals in Zootopia look more photorealistic in comparison.
