Pretty much this, as a practicing hypno-sub, can confirm. Its most often a case of believeing and allowing yourself to become entranced, you will, you cant be hypnotised to do something you dont *want* to do, your sub-concious mind still protects you and will wake you up if necessary, keeping your mind open and thinking positively for it? All helps.
If you go into a a trance session telling yourself 'this isnt going to work' and 'i wont be hypnotised' then surprise, you wont be :P
Anyone can be hypnotised its just finding the right method to do so and them keeping the state of mind for it. Some people do go under easier than others, and the more you practice the easier it gets but generally its still work on part of the subject being hypnotised to allow the hypnotist to do their job~
