Commission. Photoshop, Zbrush Blenderp: 75hrs, give or take.... probably give. Derp Froggie is present.
If I won the lotto (lol), I'd buy a state of the art computer and cram as many bleeding edge GPUs into it as possible. Then I'd buy C4D with the Octane plugin. Maybe I'd get Vue too. Definitely Marvelous designer. And I would make hyper realistic furries. For now, this is the closest I can come with just Zbrush, Blender, and Photoshop.
The gal herself was sculpted, UV mapped, and painted in Zbrush. The fur was drawn in Photoshop using these techniques: https://www.deviantart.com/bjpentec.....-Fur-703402808 Mixer brush especially came in handy. The render, which was done in Blender, came out looking like grainy shit-ass, so much so that I am no longer going to be using Blender as my main renderer. I've seen other artists do amazing renders in Blender but I just can't seem to make it happen. No matter how simple my scene is or what settings I tweak, I always get grainy shit-ass and I'm rocking a GTX 780 which isn't a bad card- a little dated, sure, but not bad. And I know it's not me because I have gotten fucking amazeballs renders out of Octane in the past. So I'm sorry, Cycles, but you're gettin the boot. I'll be looking at Marmoset for the time being until Octane's free tier comes out... someday. Either that or I'll try Octane through Unity.
The cloth was also painted in Photoshop. I tried Blender's cloth sim and WOW HOLY SHIT DID IT EVER NOT FUCKING WORK. No matter what I did, the cloth always bunched up into a spiky, hateful little ball. It took me less time to paint the loincloth and brassier in Photoshop than it did to get something not even presentable out of Blender's cloth sim. Maybe it's me though. I dunno. I've always been better at the painting side of things than the 3D side.
So yeah. That's the breakdown. Enjoy! -faceplants on desk-
