  • I mean I kind of see what they are going for, and yet I can't really like it.

Is not going to happen, but I wish they bring the 2011 one back.

  • Okay Cartoon Network, if you want to do another Teen Titan Go (with Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Gumball influences) cartoon, do another Teen Titans Go cartoon with an original IP.

Stop taking older IPs that don't suit this sort of style and forcing it upon it, it just does not work. Whilst the 80's version appears quite goofy to us nowadays, it was quite a serious series back in the day and the fans loved it due to it. Roll forward to the 2011 remake, it had amazing animation, a revamped and excellent story line and great character work which was sadly cancelled due to poor toy sales and its timeslot being badly mismanaged.

Whilst I hate to say that a series should fail, this is one that from the first signs deserves to.

  • They couldn't just let the dead rest in peace. I'd say Teen titans go was the worst thing to ever happen to cartoon network because now everything has to follow the same template to maximize profit off of low attention span kids that like randomness over clever writing.

CalArts is the cancer killing western animation, it's the Frankfurt School of animation.

The Frankfurt school tried to warn us the market would kill Western culture, and what do you know, they were right. The fact that they are actually being blamed for what they warned against just goes to prove how much the people who profited from killing culture are firmly in control.

Y’all so soar that CN isn’t marketing to y’all. Let CN make what's popular and sells to kids just like the original Thundercats was designed to do.

Yes, the hate obviously has everything to do with the fact that it's not made for nostalgic adults and has nothing to do with the art, the tired humor, or the fact that it's another remake beating a dead horse.

  • I don't think the show is nearly as bad as people think. It's certainly not nearly as bad as Teen Titans Go.

For one, everyone in the show has fairly consistent characterization (arguably even moreso than in the original run). The show is also in the same genre as the original show, being an action comedy for kids, and not just mindless retarded jokes that don't make sense. Sure, not every joke lands, but to their credit, they don't just break the story to sing about Waffles for 5 straight minutes. They also don't go out of their way to antagonize fans of the show (though unfortunately, Teen Titans Go itself actually DID go out of it's way to antagonize fans of the original Thundercats, which almost certainly caused more harm than good). There's even some attempt at a bit of a serialized plot (though it's still mostly episodic).

Lastly, they made Snarf cute and loveable without making him totally useless (like the previous reboot did). He's actually not comic relief in this series. He's a freaking sentient galactic robot with cat-like mannerisms. He's probably my favorite character. Though take that with a grain of salt since I actually liked the original Snarf when I was young (hated the reboot pet version of him, though).

Oh yeah, there's even some LGBTQ representation in the show! So give it a chance, ok? The original Thundercats was good and had an amazing opening that's super catchy, but the show itself was actually somewhat mediocre on second watch, with a lot of cut corners here and there. Thundercats Roar is at the very least consistent all the way throughout, though that's likely a facet of it's cheaper art style. Also, there's no CalArts conspiracy on art style people, that's just Capitalism. Cheaper art styles = cheaper show to produce.

And now it's canceled. Oh well.

Who did this thing was absolutely killed because the guy who'd made this did it on a pure spite and hatred for the show. Turns out this guy was no fam at all. Like the people who said they never watched teen titans who make Teen Titans Go! The same is said about this guy only he didn't like the show it begin with.

Just mean spiritedness of the worst kind.
