Why would you lock the door and leave the keys inside? How are you planning to go back in and why would you go out in a robe with nothing underneath?

Easy: Unlock door to open it, lock door so it'll be locked when you close it(Because your hand is on the lock now anyways), step out to pick up mail, but housecoat catches on door, and pulls it shut behind you.

It doesn't even look like the coat caught the door anywhere (unless there's something on the other side like a door stopper) and even if it did the coat looks thick enough to where it would prevent the door from shutting all the way closed to were it would be able to get locked in place.

I mean, she's the one who says the robe's caught in the door, i agree, the spot looks odd. i'm just saying that it's not entirely unreasonable to have happen.

I have locked myself out of my home before, (obviously on accident). You open the door to the outside, lock the door while it's open, walk out and shut the door, realize you don't have your keys and.... oops.

Poor Sweet Linda Swift. She always keeps finding herself in these situations.
