    It's a shame the Pony of Shadows succumbed so easily. He could clandestinely spread darkness over select parts of Equestria, which could serve as fuel at least for a dozen S8 episodes. The magical table even displayed where the trouble happens. Instead, the writers chose to skimp on this chance and the gang "dispelled" the darkness with a 30 second visit to Manehattan...
