Actually, Jack Savage was going to be the protagonist when it was a '60s Bond pastiche called Savage Skies (or Savage Seas), then he got partnered up with Nick as the new plot was written, then dropped in favor of Judy. Skye was a character who was meant to be in as well, as a mechanic, fellow spy, or both (she's been seen in concept art both with a toolbox and overalls and in a wetsuit with a harpoon).

MemberNah, Skye was never meant to be a main character, probably--it just went from a bro buddy film to having a romantic subplot.
