Three arrows pointed to the left side is a symbol of the centrist to center-left German Social Democratic Party, which you can see being used historically here.

I'm guessing that it being used in modern protesting is a way to try and adopt how that was used historically? Same thing as wearing the British Royal Air Force roundels I suppose. Still, putting on WWII symbols is so odd looking in these 'trendy' kinds of modern contexts (even if somebody is genuinely aware of what the symbols mean).

yeah that's sort of the disgusting part. I had no idea that's what the symbol was other than just "Oh fuck it's these morons again". Man, it's quite ironic that I am a centrist and this technically encapsulates me, but at this point the symbol leans so far left that it's not even funny anymore.

I don't get political, but as an American I've been through enough to the point where it never even triggers me anymore. I'd assume everyone here should be smart enough where they don't fall for trigger bait.

Funny thing is most modern use of the symbol contradicts its original purpose, the SDP was directly opposed to far left anarchists and communists in addition to the nazis, most people using it now are anarchists though. But I suppose anarchists never did care about reality anyway.
