That damn cat was what it must be like living with Pinkie Pie.

    Not that bad, surely.

It horrifies me that people even know enough about MLP to lament about which character it reminds you of. I had to look it up. And now I regret it.

So, because you don't like something, no one else should, either. That's nice, bro.

What you fail to realize is...
Old My Little Pony = yucky cotton candy and bubblegum sweetness, with all the interest and intrigue of watching paint dry.
New My Little Pony = The mind behind Power-Puff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, speculation on zombie ponies, Benny Hill theme chases, and ponies in traction beds getting pianos dropped on them.

What you fail to realize is: This is the internet. You can gripe all you want, but unless masses want something to happen it doesn't. Everything is relevant and irreverent.

I have learned. I've watched every episode made so far of the new series, and you're absolutely right. MLP:FIM is actually a GOOD SHOW with GOOD SUBSTANCE. It's not retarded like Spongebob Squarepants >_< *retch* but it actually engages some truly classic gags, honestly endearing characters who actually have some level of DEPTH to them (as well as consistency), and the show promotes some really great values like integrity, respect, loyalty, and honesty!

I don't think anyone could regret watching this. Lauren Faust is an amazing writer, and I don't think Hasbro can even BEGIN to understand just how incredibly much licensing a show to her is doing for them.
