  • Its slightly too forward, but not bad enough not to be not-likable. At least the taint strip isn't long enough to land a 747 on.

Oh god, I am very.. VERY disappointed at the person who changed the tags on this to "female" and "straight" :| *fixes*

The first and most important tagging rule is "tag what you see".
    You didn't fix anything.

  • Here, let me give you people reading this an example of why this rule is important.
I searched for "kami-chan intersex" because I like me some herm sexings. Unfortunately this picture popped up. It was not what I was looking for, and the only reason it came up was because someone decided to tag it based on outside knowledge.
Now, being the average lurker, I have absolutely no idea that the character is a cuntboy or whatever the fuck you call them. It looks "female" and "straight" to me.
e621 is an image archive; the tags reflect the image for easier searching, not so everyone can know about "x is a cuntboy fagots dont cahnge tags". Because, quite frankly, no one else but you gives a shit.

I understand your point but the fact is it was still tagged as cuntboy. If you don't like them, blacklist them, or search with "-cuntboy". I don't see boobs in this picture so it's eligible to be cuntboy instead of female, but it's ambiguous so I won't go one way or the other, personally.

The problem is not that it was tagged intersex, because intersex applies to basically any sex/gender that isn't perfectly female or perfectly male, e.g. herm, transgender, shemale, cuntboy, dickgirl, what-have-you. So don't complain that searching "intersex" gives you more than just herms. There is a very fine line between females and effeminate cuntboys, and if you don't want to be on either side of that line, blacklist both.

I don't use the blacklist, because some of the things I would blacklist I may have wanted to see or, for example in this situation, fix tags on. I was not hating on cuntboys, either; to each their own.
As I said, you're missing the point, even more severely than before. The point I was trying to make is to simply tag correctly without using outside information, not lrn2blacklist. Also, if there's a vagina we can assume it's female, no breasts need to be seen. The penis/vagina are sort of the catch-all for gender tagging. If we were able to see the front of the female character and it looked generally male, then it would be tagged cuntboy, simple as that; don't look too deep into things.

I was referencing your story, not the tagging dilemma. You were whining that searching intersex brought up a cuntboy when you actually wanted herm. That's "expected behavior". I'm well aware of TWYS and that this is technically female, but the fact that you searched intersex when you actually wanted herms exclusively is an indication to me that you don't want to see cuntboys, so you should blacklist them.

There are many other people who will retag them if they're mistagged and you don't catch it, so don't think you're the sole person who bothers to retag things on this site and it's your duty to leave your blacklist empty to catch each and every thing, then complain about it.

...The moral of my story was about tagging. I searched what I searched to include herm, dickgirl, and etc, just like you said that search would produce, not just herm explicitly; had that been the case I probably would have searched herm, eh? I say again, majorly missing the point: my bitching was focused on the tags and I just used my current situation as an example, not motive for some mighty crusade against cuntboys or whatever point you're trying to make.

Another moment of missing the point: I don't blacklist because I like to tag to help put things in their rightful order and, as I said, perhaps there's something on that blacklist I want to see.

And just how is searching for things I don't want like an idiot "expected behavior"? The fuck, man?

Like a boss. I'd do the same thing.

You original comment came off as two-fold - complaining about mistagging and complaining about getting cuntboy when you searched intersex.

You said you like herms, and unfortunately a picture that's not herm popped up. This implies you don't like cuntboys, or you have a preference of herms over cuntboys. If that wasn't your intention, you should have worded it better.

Neither of those things are what I wanted to portray, and I still don't see how it came off like that.

I don't care what you guys say, or how late I am, but I'm re-fixing the tags.

I should know what gender my own character was when I got this picture, thank you very fucking much.

    A) even you have to follow the site rules.
    B) if your going to "re-fix" the tags, remove the ones that are incorrect, right now your precious image has conflicting tags, "female" vs "cuntboy"/"intersex"
    C) im gona go get an admin to sort this so you lot can stop arguing.

Sorry dude, but policy is policy. Don't think of it as us telling you what the gender is; it is what you say it is, we're just stating what tags can be added and what can't. That's all.

  • Fuck this moronic argument, I've seen it pop up over and over again. The real issue is the phrase, "tag what you see" for people see different things, some things you can't see, and some things look exactly the same. Examples, one person can see a flat chested female while others see a girly cuntboy, some people see a flat chested dickgirl while others see a girly boy. How do I reckon it be fixed? Well, the only difference between a flat chested dickgirl and a girly boy would be what gender they think themselves as, since we don't know because they don't exist, we can't actually pick which one with correctness in mind. However, we know these words are for searching with, so we simply do as we will and tag what we see. One person thinks they see a cuntboy? Great, one person sees a flat chested female? Great, one person says no one really knows and it should be tagged as ambiguous_gender? Awesome, tag as all three.

Have no fear, Esme is here....to tell you your about three years too late to the party.
Also that no, it can not be tagged as all three. You may want to read up on the rules your argument is about...

There's no point re-opening a resolved issue that has since been settled.

  • It has definitely not been settled, arguments about this have continued to pop up (like mine) and have not been well resolved in my opinion. The only actually rule that talks about this is vague, opinion based, and very short. "Adding a tag to a post that is not either clearly visible, or reasonably assumed" One can reasonably assume different things about a picture, the rule doesn't state anything about not being allowed to tag as different reasonably assumed possibilities. The rules don't need to change or anything, people should just let people tag with their opinions and not delete each other's for the most part. I do agree that some opinions are very far out.

  • There's also "Removing a valid tag, either as part of a dispute/argument, or to place one that is not correct" which I forgot to mention. In which I assume "valid" and "correct" mean "clearly visible or reasonably assumed".

  • (would have edited the previous post but it to more than 5 minutes to type this and find examples)What I'm mainly trying to say, is that someone looking for a flat chested dickgirl, and someone looking for a girly boy would likely both enjoy a picture like https://e621.net/post/show/817407/albedo_azura-black_fur-blush-canine-collar-dog-duo and/or https://e621.net/post/show/822786/anthro-balls-canine-crossdressing-damek-dog-erecti and/or https://e621.net/post/show/802236/2015-anthro-anus-balls-bdsm-beads-bikini-black_pen , and that it is within the bounds of the rules. Not that all girly boy pictures have to also be tagged as flat chested dickgirls, I completely understand why people would think https://e621.net/post/show/815420/black_nose-blue_eyes-brown_fur-brown_hair-bulge-ca and/or https://e621.net/post/show/812500/albedo_azura-anthro-antlers-blue_eyes-blue_fur-blu and/or https://e621.net/post/show/777882/2015-animal_genitalia-animal_penis-anthro-balls-bi are girly but not flat chested dickgirls.

Look at the dates: the last comment was 2 (almost 3) years ago, the main people who were discussing this topic left e621 over a year ago, and the last tag change about the issue has been over a year ago as well. Admins intervened and the case is closed. There's absolutely no reason for opening up old wounds other than having another dispute fired up. Let it slide man.

  • I'm not bringing it up because of these people. I've seen it around 8 times, 2 of which, it resulted in bans. I just came across this one and decided to bring up my side of the argument. What I'm proposing would (in theory) be a very long term fix, be more useful when searching, and no rules would have to be changed, just actions and interpretations of the rules. Also, I'm stubborn as all hell so I'll take this much farther than it makes sense to. I do hope you actually read everything I've said here.

  • If I were bold enough, I'd show you exactly what I mean by tagging this post, since I'm not, I'll tell you what I'd do. I would add the tags, "male/intersex, male/cuntboy, girly, cuntboy" and maybe even add a new tag, "multiple_possibilities". In the "Edit Reason" text box, I would type, "Without any outside information, I can conclude within reasonable assumption that this is a male and cuntboy having sex or that this is a male and female having sex, under the rules, either group of tags that comes with either possibility would be correct. Deleting either group of tags would be against the rules unless you disagree that one group or the other can possibly be reasonably assumed."

  • I'm not trying to start some big argument for the sake of trolling or the likes. I'm trying to introduce an interpretation of the rules that could (in theory) permanently resolve these tagging issues and make it easier for people to find what they want to.
