    I'm super curious if Gamefreak members have seen rule34 stuff on Pokemon. I really want to know their opinions, like do they hate us now lol? Maybe they're on board, to a reasonable extent, considering Salazzle exists.

    I believe Gamefreak have been intentionally making at least
    one Pokemon that is sexy to furries every gen since gen four.

    I wouldn't be surprised, it probably boosts their sales considerably in the right demographics.

    And the fact they aren't direct about it means they aren't losing the other demographics either.

  • Don't get full of yourselves.

    Japan as a culture has far less of a problem with sexuality than western cultures.

    Also, I'm pretty sure the "females only" thing is based on that one lizard species with only females.

    I'm not full of myself. Lucario/Lopunny -> Zoroark -> Braixen -> Salazzle.
    Once is an accident, twice a coincidence, thrice is suspicious and four times there is no doubt. There is definitely a pattern, one that is getting stronger over time (Salazzle is not even subtle about it). Okay these Pokemon may not be made specifically with furries in mind but they are intentionally sexy, meaning they appeal to furries.

    Add Nidoqueen from Gen 1, Sneasel from Gen 2, and Gardevior from Gen 3 and you'll see. Sex appeal is part of advertising and product sales, even if the appeal of it is subliminal or niche. GameFreak knows all too well about Poképhillia, they know how the internet works, and more than once have they been contacted by too rabid a fanboy.

    Sex sells, and this lady is selling games left and right.

    Let's try this again:

    The Pokémon Company said:
    Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling these pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.

    Canon: The base Pokémon (female Salandit) attracts human males.

    Poképhilia is canon.
