Implicating tony_tony_chopper → one_piece
Link to implication

Reason:

A character from One Piece. source

Edit: I don't know much about the series (okay, I know nothing about the series), but it looks like this is the most popular character here. Without looking up every single character for tags (there's a lot of them...like a lot a lot*) it looks like monkey d luffy, nami, and nico_robin are the second most popular here, the rest have seem to have less than 10 posts tagged. post #435989 has a few of them (the non-mlp characters), all of what looks to me like the "main good guys" based on the wikipedia list. If there are other characters that are popular I think we'd need a One Piece fan to speak up.

Summary of suggestions:

*The wikia list has far too many characters to be practical. I counted 104 just starting with letters A and B.

Yeah... Tony Tony Chopper wasa full-blooded Reindeer who ate the Human Human fruit, one of the many devil fruits in the world of One Piece. There are a few characters who had consumed Animal fruits, but Tony Tony Chopper is probably the only character who has a full animal form.

Let's see...
Monkey D. Luffy: The captain of the Straw-hat Pirates.
Nami: The navigator, planner, and all-around "Real" captain of the crew.
Roronoa Zoro: A superb swordsman, one of the main fighters of the crew.
Sanji: The chef for the crew, as well as a master of foot-and-leg based martial arts.
Ussop: Chronic liar, sniper, and carpenter for the Going Merry.
Going Merry: The Klabautermann of the ship by the same name. Was awoken by Ussop's absolute care and devotion to the ship.
Tony Tony Chopper: A "Monster Reindeer," doctor for the crew.
Franky: A cyborg shipwright, and a bit of a loon. Invented the Thousand Sunny, and the various vehicles launched from it.
Brook: Musician, Skeleton, Swordsman.
Nico Robin: Achaeologist for the Straw-hat Pirates.

Boa Hancock: Snake Princess of the Seven Warlords.
Jinbe: Knight of the Sea, captain of the Sun Pirates, formerly one of the Seven Warlords.
Neptune: King of the fishman kingdom, Ryugu Kingdom.
Shirahoshi: Youngest daughter of Neptune, she is a mermaid, and the legendary weapon incarnate, "Poseidon." This has caused her to become gigantic.

Anybody else isn't important enough to mention at this moment.

Edit: Neptune himself isn't all that important, either, I simply mentioned him because, well, he's the father of Shirahoshi.

Amazingly helpful summary

I think we found our fan. I'll gather up the tags/duplicates later and throw them on the wiki for reference. A couple of them (like franky and brook) should probably be moved to _(one_piece), but most should be pretty straightforward.

Thanks for this awesome rundown Furin! :3

I've made the following changes:

I added the ones that already had tags and moved a couple -> *_(one_piece) to not be confused with other characters. I also added these characters to the wiki, but left it otherwise untouched.

yeah, part of the reason theres so many characters is probably cause the show has been ongoing for what, 10+ years now? and iirc is only around the half way point in it's overall plot.

i try to watch some of the show off and on over the years but if you're only watching the english dub version then you're probably around 8 years behind the english subbed episodes. well, that's if i remember the original air date of the last episodes i saw on toonami compared to the last i saw subbed.

let's see...episode list... i was on the... ah, right, Impel Down part 1 arc of the summit war saga, when i last watched the subbed episodes and i think the last dubbed episode i saw was back at the Water 7 arc of the Water 7 saga. so yeah, the dubbed episodes are still around 8-9 years behind the current episodes. heck, the episodes i was on was still 5-6 years behind and that was around 200 behind the current newest arc.

to have started back in 1999 and still be ongoing, it's one helluva long anime, that's for sure. makes it kinda hard to catch up if you fall behind on it too. :/ show has like, 18 opening and ending themes to the canon series as well...so far.

i guess it shows that people really love pirates and pirate adventures, huh? :)

edit: i should try and catch up on this show a bit more.

now that i think of it, this show had one of the saddest episodes i've seen in an anime. that one episode where they gave they're first ship a viking funeral... :( just thinking about that one still gets me sad and makes me want to cry. it's certainly had some good and some really sad parts over the years.

here it is, episode 296. it lasted 296 episodes (the whole first 8 years of the show) before the first ship finally succumbed to all the damage, wear and tear, etc. it had sustained over time.
