I've seen that some pics tagged with bvats are linking to deviantart pages where, while it is stated that pic was uploaded in higher res, I see no way to download pic in higher res.

Is there a way to download it that I don't know, and if not then should bvats tag be on pic?

People are looking at the original size that the artist uploaded it as, and basing it off of that, even though the artist has disallowed the download of the full size image. People just aren't paying attention.

Is bvats tag meant to be useful for people who want to actually upload higher res version, or should it be at any pic that have higher res version in the source?

I mean post #247168 have higher res version in source, but it can't be uploaded because "file dimension to big" (It's 15892 X 8647) I think that original intention was the former.

I think it should be used to point out that there is a bigger version that CAN be uploaded.
