Any chance that Jikanbako can support SVGs? I do realize they pose some technical problems, but not any more than flash does.SVG is a standard w3c image format much like png. Most of my art is in svg. I just hate rastering the svgs.

I don't think that adding SVG support would be a problem (if only there is no changes to comparison algorithm), it mostly depends on browser support (all modern browsers support SVG, except, afaik, IE8; IE users are, like, evil Buratinos for themselves)
Never thought that someone will publish vector works instead of rasterising them before publishing though

I consider rastering vectors a sin. And all my works are CC-Atribution.

It just checks to see if an existing post has the same MD5 hash, that works with any kind of file.

As a developer, I'd be more concerned about malicious code in the SVG files. They are often treated by the browser much like a xml document. I'd love to see it, but I'm not expecting much if it's too much of a hassle. However a swf can, png, or jpg have been known in the past to be able to do the exact same thing.
But yeah, md5 works on anything.
