I noticed that we currently have tags like comic_sans and helvetica in active use. Should it be acceptable to tag typefaces?

Downsides:

• Potential for incorrect tagging (e.g. arial and helvetica, helvetica and helvetica_neue).
• Tag naming (e.g. eras_itc, itc_eras, eras, eras_(typeface), or eras_(font)?).
• Could cause tag bloat on some posts (like this one.

I'm leaning on the third downside. However, if I'm not mistaken, Helvetica is an artist's name

Edit: It is! But it's tagged as Helvetica_(artist)

Font tags seem utterly pointless.
The idea of tagging is the aid in searching for images, I doubt anyone is looking for an image based on the font that the text us written in.

Some people have a passionate hatred for comic_sans, so maybe that one should be kept. Just for blacklisting. But I don't see much need for the other ones myself.

Yeah, its reputation is likely the entire reason comic_sans even exists as a tag.

That's okay, but making tags for every random font and keeping up with them? Meh, seems like a pointless endeavour indeed. Helvetica shouldn't even be there in my opinion, just to keep things consistent.

I'm inclined to agree that we don't need font tags.
