I've noticed several users trying to add the solo_focus tag to posts, but it always gets removed. It's a common tag on other imageboards, and I've been thinking that maybe we shouldn't remove it?

Here's how Danbooru defines it:

images that have two or more characters in them, but clearly give more emphasis to one of them than any others.

The secondary characters may be partially out of frame, faceless, or both.

If only one character is visible in the image, use solo instead.

So images such as these would be tagged as solo_focus:

That does sound useful, but personally I would rename it into sole_focus, because that is even more descriptive (also nothing an alias couldn't help with).

I've had to remove "solo" from images with multiple people a few times before.

Would prefer focus_on_individual, as that sounds better to me. But that's me.

Personally, I prefer shorter tags. They're quicker to type and long ones get typoed often. So my vote would be for sole_focus.

Well that's why I like the FOI/Focus_on_Individual alias.

Either would be good, I suppose. But it'd be nice to have more votes. Focus_on_individual or sole_focus?

In the meantime, I'll just tag those with the original (solo_focus) for now. I can move them over later once we have a consensus on which tag to use.

I'd say just keep solo focus, it's already being used and it's known from other imageboards, not to mention it's short and easy to remember.

How about foreground_focus?
