It's tagged that way because I can't spell retir...retreev.....retr....ALIASED TO LABRADOR

They're also very commonly referred to as just 'labradors', rather than their full name, 'labrador retriever'; in this they differ from such breeds as the golden retriever.

Not really, I've heard people call golden retrievers "goldens".
It's stupid imo, but people do it.
