Reason: Characters don't imply species due to alternate_species. Ashchu has been depicted as a raichu.

Additional question: Should ashchu be aliased to ash_ketchum due to alternate_species?
Alias, as far as I can tell there's nothing particularly unique about this form that'd endure in non-Pikachu depictions (human Ashchu would just be Ash, but Wolf Link has design elements that "human" Link does not.)
Ashchu is an official canon form of Ash as a pikachu. I'd argue that depicting Ashchu as a Raichu would make it not Ashchu, as it's not the canon form of Ashchu but an alternate_species ash_ketchum.

Ashchu is already an alternate species ash ketchum, though. A good amount of the posts tagged ashchu depicting him as a Pikachu don't use the actual Ashchu design, or are applied just because it's the artist's depiction of Ash as a Pikachu [or raichu]. I think by virtue of that it's a pretty ambiguous tag and something should be done about it at least.

This one doesn't even have Ash at all, just Pikachu in cosplay. It should be tagged as ash ketchum because of cosplay tagging methods.

Those would be mistags then if it's not the canon form. But if it's misused that often, I agree something should be done. Given your example, that means it couldn't be aliased to ash_ketchum either, since those are pikachu instead of Ash Ketchum (even the outfits are more aligned with the games' protagonists).
So what can it be aliased to if we can't rely on it being a pikachu or ash_ketchum, and what tag can we use for Ashchu?
