Topic: A Pawphiliac's Woes

I probably fit into a pretty niche crowd. Bit of a paw snob here. I cannot stand (pun intended) plantigrade feet on anthros, even if they have claws and more animalia digits (extra blegh points if they're an anthro with just plain ol' five-toed human-ish feet). Big fan of digitigrade hindpaws and legs—anthro or feral.

It's been a pet peeve of mine for years of lurking before finally getting involved by commissioning custom-tailored content and whatnot. Now, I'm struck with epiphany of how much I'd love a distinction in tags for content featuring digitigrade paw activities (paw_fetish/pawjob) versus conventional foot stuff (foot_fetish/footjob).

This is just me rambling and open to discussion; not actually requesting a tag change. I know most who dislike feet don't care if it's paws or feet, and judging by the majority of plantigrade foot fetish art, those who do like it aren't as picky as me.

And a question for people that find feet gross: do digitigrade paws seem less gross to you in sexual context versus regular feet?

What do you think of bears [which are plantigrade in their natural form]?

Weirdly for me I think plantigrade furries would take more care of their feet vs digitigrades ones cuz for me the latter are more connected to their "primal" roots or something so less time for feet care.

Hope you can find more people that can tag better feet, I still get a bit confused with these terms even lurking all these years in the fandom welp.

Have you tried searching paws foot_fetish?

digitigrade and plantigrade are also tags you can use but they are somewhat under-tagged.

I'd say this is an exception to the nitpick as long as the character isn't given human feet. I enjoy anatomical correctness. I definitely don't find them super appealing though, like I might a wolf or dragon's paw.

Thanks! I just always squee in delight when I come across "that" post that ticks all my very specific boxes. And I think I understand your first point when it comes to cleanliness. The way I see it, this could always depend on the particular character's personality, digitigrade or not.

Unclean and smelly feet or paws isn't my thing, so I usually default to either ignoring this detail or whiffing some corn chips.

Yup, I usually filter out plantigrade rather than search explicitly for digitigrade. But you're definitely right, they're underutilized tags.
