You used a regular ol' alias request, so it's fine. While BURs do have a number of advantages over an alias request, they do have the disadvantage of requiring one to unalias and unimply everything from a tag that's getting aliased away before it can be aliased away.

As for a link between the names, there is the similarity in formatting of their blurb at the top of their post lists of Waybacked versions of their PelziBat Twitter and current PelziDragon Twitter/X, including the same two links to other Twitter/X accounts. The PelziDragon version still has relics of their PelziBat days, such as mentions of their bat persona (example ) which match archived posts from PelziBat (example Bat vs. example Dragon ). Maybe more than I needed to do, but it keeps me in practice, yes.
