Topic: [REJECTED] bestiality_kiss implications

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #12542 has been rejected.

create implication bestiality_kiss (876) -> kissing (81359)
create implication bestiality_kiss (876) -> bestiality (99765)

Reason: Self-explanatory.

The only potential counterpoint is

post #5885517

which is the only post in this tag not tagged as bestiality. However, I question whether it should be tagged as bestiality_kiss in the first place.

EDIT: The bulk update request #12542 (forum #471528) has been rejected by @Beholding.

The bestiality_* tags all exist as a result of being not technically bestiality, but shares similar vibes/themes as bestiality posts.
If I could nuke or rename them, I would. However, these tags do currently serve a blacklisting purpose for an otherwise overlooked aspect of "bestiality".

Since bestiality is strictly defined as "sexual activity between feral and non-feral characters", it would be inappropriate to tag all posts that show kissing between two (feral and non-feral) characters as being bestiality, despite how the tag is currently named or defined.

And of course the one time I don't do a search it's already been proposed. Vote on topic #46093 I guess.

You should reject your current BUR and leave your votes & any comments to the existing topics.
Leaving a second BUR up like this is redundant and undermines previous discussions.

I think the best option is to update the definition of bestiality to "sexual or romantic activity between feral and non-feral characters" as that seems to be how people are using it here.

This is already the main argument on topic #46093 & topic #46102.
I also feel that redefining it like this is fundamentally wrong since that is not what "bestiality" means in real-life.

If this were to be the solution, then there is no point in even keeping around the bestiality_* tags anymore.

honestly, this is a discussion that should be entirely separate from the implications being valid. it's clear from its current use that bestiality is 1000% used to mean any sexual/romantic/fetish-y interaction between a feral and any of the following: anthro, human, humanoid, taur.

if we want to discuss changing the tag name it should be done in a separate discussion. by its currently understood definition, bestiality (the tag, not the word in the Oxford English dictionary or whatever) being an implication target for these is pretty much undeniably valid. this discussion is just holding up valid implications for semantic reasons.
