What's the utility of orphan as a tag? From what I'm looking at it feels inconsistent in its use.
Perhaps it should be turned into a Lore tag. After all, it could be considered a family tag. Whereas the other family tags describe various TWYK family members, orphan_(lore) tags someone who lacks a family. Of course, whether this is of any value to tag I don't know, especially considering how jampacked Lore tags are getting anymore.
I agree that if orphan is to be kept it should be a lore tag, but I have no strong opinions one way or another over whether or not the tag should be kept.
Why is orphan even a tag? Now every batman post needs to be tagged as orphan?

It looks like the most common use is for the prototypical image of an orphan, a homeless child who needs charity.
Which seems like a TWYS-taggable concept, but I'm not sure what term would be appropriate for it. Waif?

The tag for abandoned [358 uses] has some overlap with "orphan", and the tag adoption box [88 uses] is out there for cases where that specific trope / scenario applies. Both of those tags have been used more often than orphan / orphans [13 uses & 5 uses, respectively]. The other times the orphan / orphans tags have been used outside the abandonment scenario do seem to be in the "lore" sene, for the most part. They're not particularly popular tags.
