Topic: Do we need the "joints" tag? [Now with BUR!]

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I just came across the joints tag, and I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems like its intended use is for species with prominent articulated joints like robots and insects, but it's also used to tag marijuana joints. I'd propose a disambiguation, but I'm not sure if there's any point to tagging the anatomical feature in the first place. In the same way that basic anatomical features like nose and leg are invalid, it seems too ubiquitous to use as a valid tag.

Yeah that seems like a bad tag. It should be disambiguated- I feel like there's at least three uses going on AND the jointed/segmented look is distinct and imo worth tagging. I feel like there is a tag for it but I can't figure out what it's called.

Bumping because someone recently created a description for joints and multiple subtags for different types of segmented joints. We will need to disambiguate joints before figuring out how to deal with those.
