There is no set date. Young human stuff was banned for changes in the legal and political environment, so it'll be indefinitely banned until those change at the very least.

e621/Bad Dragon would somehow need to no longer be in a position where they can be bossed around by the unstated individuals that pressured them to begin with. The Mods won't say what actually happened, but we can probably assume it's extremely unlikely to ever change.
There is no set end date, the circumstances that caused it are unlikely to change any time soon
with any luck, permanently.

Highly unlikely to ever be reversed really. Once you are warned of something like that by a provider of a service, they are very unlikely to ever come back to you and say it's OK at any point in the future even if the climate around the subject changes, so there is always going to be the Sword of Damocles dangling overhead reminding the staff that it is something they have already been warned about.
Questionable/Explicit young human/humanoid was only barely tangential to e621's primary mission of archiving good quality furry art, so even if things magically do a 180 in the world, we're not going back to accepting them.

yeah, that-- that's what I'm saying. the stuff with young human characters and anthros would be just as relevant as all the other stuff with humans in.
a large portion of the stuff with humans on here (regardless of character age) the human characters aren't/weren't the focus, they're the perspective character/audience surrogate.

I never said humans/humanoids were always irrelevant. I only said they weren't e621's primary mission focus. We're not all that interested in them, but can accept them in certain situations, because we're after nonhumans and sometimes humans can get in with the right escort while humanoids barely squeak in on technicalities. Hence, they can be tangential, as in aligned with our focus even though they aren't the focus themselves.
However, if the human/humanoid is a youth participating in a Questionable/Explicit situation, then the not-really-interested-in-them overrides the relevancy of any nonhumans they're with (or even any relevancy a humanoid's own non-human features might have), regardless of whatever real-world pressures there might or might not be. Beyond that, it's just nitpicking over a moot point.

That's odd, because NMNY made a different statement regarding the possibility of the deleted content returning.
Wish there was a way to repeal it and get all the art that was deleted back

Is this the official stance of E621 and bad dragon or yours? There's a lot of furry focused art that has this content in it. Disgusting or not, art is art, and so long as it's furry related furry art belong in the furry community, IMO.

It's my interpretation of the official stance, admittedly. Could my interpretation use more work? All interpretations are a continuing work-in-process, so, yes, at least until I shuffle off this mortal coil, which I don't intend to do for quite a few more decades yet. Such is life.

While the art itself does nothing for me, I have no personal issues with the content of the art, regardless of whether it has humanoids, youths, or rampaging banana pirates in it, so "disgusting" is not a relevant adjective in this case. Fiction is fiction, so getting riled up over it is silly.

For what it's worth, while the administration's desire is to hopefully reinstate the posts, NMNY did also mention that the purge was ultimately the result of pressure from business partners who are being threatened financially due to the increasingly-hostile political climate. The very same business partners who are essential in keeping the servers running.
In the end, it would require said business partner's approval before anything would ever be restored, and they would probably not be as convinced to return back to how it was previously until something solid is introduced to protect digital rights.
i dont think its coming back. especially with how the world is with censoring everything and credit card companies/paypal pulling the rug out from NSFW artist now.
in the back of my mind i would like to say maybe someday but if it doesnt im not gonna cry over it. it is what it is and id rather the site stay vs losing some loli shota content.
