Reason: 1. japanese/chinese sword is an unclear tag by itself but could serve as an umbrella tag for every sword tag underneath it, as some people are unaware of the distinction between the different classes of chinese/japanese swords - most japanese swords have a shape/construction similar enough for the average person to confuse them for each other - and most users are unaware of the differing terms used to describe

1b. by extension, chinese and japanese swords often have similar silhouettes (some constructions of dao resemble japanese swords in their curvature) - besides, they are all asian swords nonetheless

2. odachi and nodachi are interchangeable terms

Do we need tags for where particular types of swords (or weapons in general) came from? This seems excessively specific.

the tags chinese_sword, japanese_sword, and asian_sword already exist, I'm just putting forth a more useful case for their use/existence wherein they are parent tags to tags often similar to one another or easily confused - especially in the case of japanese_sword where most people can't distinguish between a katana and an odachi for example

agree with the jian disambig though, I'll adjust the BUR

EDIT: and to clarify it is not only a matter of origin but similar designs
