Topic: Vore tags BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #12011 is pending approval.

create implication stuck_prey (10) -> vore (91603)
create implication long_term_endosoma (36) -> endosoma (2150)

Reason: If the prey is stuck inside the pred, they have already been eaten and thus vore, compared to for example unaware_prey which may imply imminent vore but no actual vore yet.
If something can be tagged as long term endosoma, then it's already endosoma and there's no reason not to have that tag also.

stuck_prey sounds like it can be used more generally for when the prey is stuck and unable to get away from a predator, without any vore happening. e.g. a deer stuck in some tree roots while a wolf creeps up on them, perhaps for vore/eating, perhaps for sex, perhaps for fun.

long_term_endosoma also doesn't sound very good for TWYS. What counts as "long term"? A few hours? A few days? Weeks? How can you tell in a picture that the endosoma will last at least that long (noting that text/dialog isn't reliable and should be avoided for tagging purposes)? There's also permanent_endosoma which has a similar problem of not knowing how long it lasts from a picture or video clip.

That's a fair view, I've previously seen things tagged as long term before for an overnight stay, a scenario common enough in endosoma I'd personally not say it counts. It'll always have done degree of subjectivity though. Are you saying you believe an alias would be more appropriate? I would prefer to keep the tag as it's a specific niche I enjoy searching out but understand that finding a consensus on what counts as "long term" is impossible and may just end up in fights of the tag being added and removed repeatedly from pieces.

Also fair, admittedly I may need to go back to the drawing board with this one as it's a tag I created for a scenario I noticed of where a prey becomes stuck inside a predator for one reason or another (changes to either's size not being uncommon a reason) and neither party is able to remove the prey from inside. I had previously named it trapped_prey but that doesn't imply that the predator is unable to remove them.
