Topic: Who wants to help me with looking for an ad?

Posted under Off Topic

Hi!

like most, i have see an ad of a game that looked cool, played it for awhile, then closed it without thinking, i wanted to know if anyone could help me find it, (i have been looking for it for a few hours because it seemed to have some interesting mechanics.).
To describe it, you were a lizard guy that was freed from some slavers and told to head east, you then get lost due to being dumb and that is the point where you start playing. you input commands into a command prompt to move and do things. (i did not get very far.),

Anything help,
Thank you very much.

Was this like, a porn game? If not you might have an easier time asking on Reddit.
That being said, I'd be happy to help! Do you remember what platform you saw the ad on and what the ad was like?

I am not sure if it was a porn game, i didn't play for long before i closed it without thinking, and it was on e621, and the ad showed a 16 bit game with text saying something like, "you fine a thing, put your head in it? yes.
are you sure?", and it looked like some guy next to a bare trap.

Thank you for helping.

He did.

Seeing as it's the exact same wording made at about the same time it's probably an accidental double post and not really something to scold the dude about.

no he replied to a topic about it he did not make a new topic about it

Check again, this thread is topic #58721 and the duplicate thread is topic #58720, which is on a different forum category.

It was posted both in the General and Off Topic forum categories, so it looks like a deliberate double-post.
All @jhudson said to the OP was to avoid making duplicate threads (which is correct) and they weren't really chewing OP out for it.

If it was a few seconds gap I could maybe see internet issues, but it's a full 10 seconds and in different categories

That to me seems like just enough time to go back, click the drop down and change it, then resubmit
They might have been under the assumption that the different categories are seen separately so they'd be essentially posting in different forums?

It's also possible that, just as they clicked on "Submit" the first time that they realized they goofed with the category, tried to change it semi-panickingly and hit "Submit" again before the first Submit went through but before the page updated. As it's not possible to outrace an electronic impulse, it was obviously too late, and a double post resulted. But this is just a guess, and at this point, it's best to just let things go and move on.
