Topic: Why is the site so slow?

I'm sorry, but why is the site so slow it is literally unusable? Thumbnails are slow to load, images even worse, and I'm not even going to talk about the videos, which in some cases don't even load at all.

This has been quite a longstanding issue now, and I've defaulted to rule34 for about a month in the hope that something would be fixed, but alas, no changes.

Can we at least know WHY this is happening?
