Sounds OK to me. Characters called "the Fox" and "the Cat" appear in the pre-Disney Pinocchio, but Disney created the characters named Gideon and Honest John / Foulfellow, as well as the rest (as far as I know).

An issue brought up in the older thread were to have both Figaro (Disney) and Jiminy Cricket both directly imply Disney since Pinocchio was just their debut in Disney media, going on to appear in non-Pinocchio related offerings throughout the years (Jiminy in roles like the host for I'm No Fool and Figaro as Minnie Mouse's cat). Also, I think the general preference expressed there was to get rid of the quotes in Honest John Foulfellow's name.

I agree with what you're saying (and the quotes are rather annoying). However, Disney does like to mix IPs and whatnot, for holiday specials and other reasons (see Wreck-it Ralph). Would it make sense to put a character with whatever franchise introduced/popularized them if they are not strictly outside of a dedicated universe?

And should I just edit the BUR to change those tags? or leave it as is/wait for someone else to do it?
