Reason: I don't see any significant difference between posts tagged with domestic_violence vs. domestic_abuse, and most of them overlap.
Can't speak for the tags' usage, but abuse doesn't require violence domestically.

Hm, I suppose there are reasons why one might want to search domestic_abuse -domestic_violence. I'll propose an alternate BUR.
It also occurs to me that domestic situations are often TWYK, making it an awkward tag with the TWYS policy. Until topic #56216 resolves I don't think there's much that can be done for it, though.
