Reason: Honestly, there can't be those tags if not pov nor fellatio is involved.
If just implied, then the tags aren't valid to begin.

Both pov_blowjob and fellatio_pov are disasters with a lot of overlap, and seemingly nobody is on clear if the tags are meant to be from point of someone who is getting sucked, or someone who is sucking. Instead of implying anything, they need to be cleaned and posts scooted over to some other tag that is more intuitive.

Ummmm, well... by opening fellatio pov the description is pretty clear by saying it is from the view of the one performing fellatio and, although without a description, pov blowjob is consistently tagged on the pov of the one receiving fellatio.

Also, it doesn't really matter in this specific case, since no matter which side the tag is supposed to be, a pov is being depicted and a fellatio is happening no matter what.

There are some posts tagged as pov_blowjob where fellatio isn't even happening/has already happened and others that shouldn't be tagged first_person_view, as per TWYS. And this doesn't include the posts in which I've personally removed the tag for being too ambiguous (my bad). There was even one post where both participants were female. If anything, posts where the viewer is on the receiving end should be tagged with male/gynomorph_pov + penetrating_pov. Like this.

There's also the matter of whether fellatio_pov should even imply first_person_view as a decent amount of posts tagged with it only visually depict one character, or don't depict the character the POV is from. However, there are a number of posts depicting some form of physical interaction with the viewer beyond simply being looked at or spoken to, and I can't think of a better way to tag this type of scenario than with "*_pov" tags. And, again, should fellatio even be tagged on posts where you can't even see it?

It's not just the fellatio ones that have issues; footjob and cunnilingus POV tags are a mess too. I brought this up before and got no response.

That is just mistaging, every tag has theirs. If fellatio isn't happening nor the scene is being depicted in a POV view then neither pov tag should apply, clearly.

Clearly it should, otherwise it wouldn't be a POV.

I've seen many posts with anal penetration added where the penetration itself isn't seen, but is clearly happening, like this.
If an action is clearly happening, it should be tagged, so a fellatio action is clearly happening, but we can't see the mouth or the action directly, like this, it should still be taggable.

The crux of the issue here is that first_person_view should only be applicable if you can actually see some part of the character the supposed POV shot is from (hands, a snout, etc.), according to the wiki. The examples here are missing any visual evidence to imply the images in question are actually in first person, even if there is some form of physical interaction with the viewer happening. And if you can't see the character that's being penetrated, you can't see any penetration. (Case in point. Lotta tags here that aren't applicable according to TWYS.)

And I'm well aware of mistags; they're more common with vaguely-defined and subjective tags like the ones in question. In my opinion tags should be straightforward and easy enough to define and understand as possible without having to resort to checking a wiki to be sure you're using the properly-worded term. And the less redundant tags we have, the easier it is for everyone to make sure things are properly tagged and people are able to find what they're looking for.

Okay then. Replace fellatio with oral to include tags like penis_lick (or don't) and remove penetrating_pov. Not too bad. Not only is pov_blowjob using the incorrect term, it's also grammatically incorrect, and that annoys me. Yes I'm a millennial.

OK, this is a valid argument.
I don't know why the tag requires a part of the body to be visible, since post like this and this are very clear at communicating that fellatio is happening and I don't think people would dislike if they searched fellatio_pov and saw those (a slight reword of the wiki page could solve this issue, but that is way bigger then the topic of this thread).

Anyway, if people don't want the implication and there is a technically valid reason not to, then I won't press any further. Thank you for your time discussing with me.

Does that mean that posts like this can't be tagged as anal penetration, this can't be tagged as fellatio and so on?
Wiki says "TWYS states that all General category tags on a post must be directly evident from within the post itself." and to me it is pretty evident that is what it is going on on those posts (and in fellatio pov examples I just linked).
