this is a problem that's been festering almost since NG was implemented ~5 years ago; when typing stuff into the search bar or tag list the quick complete menu is often filled with stuff unrelated to what you're looking for because the way aliases work. while I don't think we should just revert the feature to it's old behavior at this point (obviously), it's clear something ought to be done.

with this series of BURs I'm hoping to redirect any "problem aliases" to tags more likely to match what people are actually trying to use so that this is no longer an issue (or, at least, much less of an issue).

I question whether we really need to realias all of these.
Some of the tags were only used by a single user and were most likely mistags.

For example, feralmammal was only tagged once by someone who did not know how tags work.
Are we going to alias away feral_mammal as well or all the remaining list of anthro/feral_<species>?

I was going to bring that up, actually. some of these might be better as cat:invalid.

feralmammal, specifically was one that feels like it should be left loose since it has a distinct possibility of being added accidentally if someone just didn't hit the space bar, and fixing it manually might be better.

All the aliases to hybrid really need to be dealt with too, though I'm not so sure where to retarget.

It's the 33rd most used species tag itself with 167k posts, so it easily tops the autocompletion in many, many cases. Some examples are skunk, goat, lion, husky, fish and even sonic thanks to the sonichu_(species) -> hybrid alias.

aye, that's why I didn't include those at this point, the best routes for those all don't seem as clear cut, so I'm still trying to figure out what we ought to do with those. I think sonichu_(species) could probably just be aliased to sonichu_(series), although I don't _really_ see the trouble in just having it as a species tag.

also, somewhat related; I'm not sure if ferrox should be left aliased to hybrid. while it is used as the hybrid name for a ferret/fox (apparently what like what FA's mascot is), it's also one letter away from "ferox", latin for "wild", which is not an uncommon character/artist/species name and it's not a difficult typo to make, especially since they're pronounced almost identically.
