Topic: I'm struggling to create a new tag.

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

This is what i do:
Tag name: genital_in_utero
Script: in_utero
Reason: Genitalia of a living creature from the anus or vagina from the inside out.
Forum topic, i don't know if i'm doing it right. There I wrote: Genitalia inside out.

What am i doing wrong?

There's a help link on the form you're trying to use. It will provide multiple examples of the syntax you're expected to use.
"Forum topic" doesn't have a help link (it probably should), but you can provide a topic number (in this case, 47850) to post to an existing topic instead of creating a new one.

Now i managed to create my own tag at last. Other than that, i didn’t find it very helpful though.
What i did:
I copied one of the 'Bulk Update Request Help' and pasted it into the script. Then i wrote an explanation and left the 'forum topic' blank.

This won't help, I'm afraid. If you want to create a new tag, just edit a post that's to have the new tag and add in the tag with all the others. Rinse and repeat for any other post where that tag would be useful and valid.

A BUR (bulk update request) is for aliasing (making one tag automatically turn into another), implying (making one tag automatically add another), and/or making tags do other things in bulk instead of one-by-one. It won't do what you sound like you want to do.

What!! I don't understand.
Edit: Do you mean when i edit a pikture, then i can just type something random under the "Tags" window? Others i can't barely understand what you're trying to say.

Each post can be edited. There is a "Comments" and an "Edit" directly below the picture. When you hit the "Edit", the area below that will change into a bunch of boxes that you can type things into. The top box is "Tags", and you can put your new tag there. Then you go to the bottom of the screen and hit "Submit". Your tag is now added to the post.

I know about that.

Yes. Don't just type something random. Put in any tags (like genital_in_utero) you want to add to a post. If a tag is wrong, you can also remove it.

You don't need a bulk update request to do any of this.

Others in your last post i can't barely understand what you're trying to say.

You'll need to point out what is not understandable so I can explain better.

I couldn't understand any of what you trying to say there, sory.

Language barriers are a huge pain, are they not? :\

I was explaining what a bulk update request is and that it is not what you need.

I don't think I can help you very well. Can one of the staffmembers at the bottom of this page speak in your language?

Yes, i got that link. gattonero2001 shared that link with me before you on "genital_in_utero" thread. But thanks anyway.

True, i can understand a little, as long as it's simple English, then i can understand everything that is said. As soon as it becomes heavy English, then i quickly get lost. When it comes to writing or speaking English, then i struggle more. I very often use Google Translate or chatGPT to translate or writing.

Maybe it would help if you said what your native language actually is. Maybe there's someone else who speaks it and can explain this better.

It's Norwegiain.

It looks like you were successful in adding in the tag you wanted.

If you have checked your post edit history, you can see every tag edit you have made.
Any green tag is a new tag added, and any red tag is a tag removed.

I understand a little norwegian, maybe i can help?
Jeg forstår litt norsk. Kanskje jeg kan hjelpe?
Jeg er i beste fall en samtale
Du bør prøve å sende melding til Slyroon hvis du kan, de snakker sikkert bedre norsk enn meg.
