Topic: In regards to commissioned art.

Posted under General

I have two questions as a lil commissioner whose still very new to uploading the art I've gotten to this website. ; v;

Is it encouraged to upload the higher resolution versions of the art that I have? I know that one of my most recent comms that was uploaded here is using the optimized version of the art piece for storage 'n what not.
This one may be worded weirdly. Let's say I've uploaded art that I have commissioned to my personal FA gallery. This has been done with the artists permission and they are credited. Am I allowed to link that alongside linking the artists page to an upload I've made here if the image can not otherwise be found anywhere else?

The highest resolution provided by the artist (not artificially upscaled, and what you're allowed to repost) is preferred. Unless for some reason you were given a smaller lossless (PNG) copy and a larger lossy (JPG) copy, then lossless would generally be preferred over size.

Multiple source links to separate copies of the image are good. It's fine if there's minor alterations (different size, censorship) as long as it's basically the same image.

I see. As far as I can tell it the quality isn't lost nor is it a JPG. Seems to be an even higher resolution?- I've asked the artist if I can upload it although. :>

And duly noted! Thank you for this information. ; v;
