Topic: animal humanoids and the not_furry tag

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I forgot if I already asked this and I cant find an existing thread on this, but... should animal_humanoid be considered furry for the purposes of the not_furry tag? The wiki description saying it should was added in like 2015 by some user.

I would consider an animal humanoid furry. If they have furry parts (ears/tail/etc) they should count as furry. Doesn’t seem strange to me.

There's also a sentiment where things like kemonomimi aren't furry enough to some. And I think it would be better off if animal humanoids/kemonomimi counts as "non-furry" for not_furry.

If Gardevoir is not furry because the species typically lacks traits verisimilar to animals (gardevoir not_furry), then animal humanoids are furry when they have traits that are verisimilar to animals. Whether or not it's "furry enough", or whether "furries" like it, is of no consequence.
