Aliasing sophia_(delicious) → sophia_eleanor_willett
Link to alias

Reason:

I dont know if thats the right way around, anyway, sophia_(delicious) should forward to sophia_eleanor_willett since thats the name, but i doubt many people can remember it
gonna do the same for the other main chars from delicious, trying to clean up the mess a little, i hope you guys help me with that^^

Reverse alias

Agreed. It's much simpler to tell who the character is when their tag references the source.

so you think it would be better if i tag them all as name_(delicious) and request a forward from the full name to that tag?

Depends on how widely used the tags are and how likely they are to be used for something else. A tag like sofia is extremely ambiguous and breaking it up into sofia_(parasprite), sofia_(gwomm), sofia_(disney), etc. is usually how those are handled. Sometimes they are given a last name if it is well-known enough (webcomics usually) but it's usually handled on a case-by-case basis.

If I'm not familiar enough with the characters to make a judgement call, I tend to lean towards whichever form of the tag is being used the most unless there is a conflict and suggest an alias of one to the other. If a tag isn't in use right now anyways, there usually isn't any reason to suggest an alias. Often things like this can be fixed easily without admin intervention just by manually retagging a few of them. You just kind of have to make a judgement call on how likely is it that there will be conflict in the future and work off that.

Helpful tip:

The tag search is really helpful for this sort of thing. Wildcards (*) are a really helpful way to figure out what is in use. For example, sofia*) gives you all the tags in use that start with "sofia". Likewise you can do a search like *_(delicious) to get all the tags that end with "_(delicious)".

Oh, and if you have multiple related requests, it helps to put them all in the same thread in the top post as it makes it easier to keep track of discussion and reduce confusion.
