Are individual arrow_pointing_to_<thing> tags a bit overkill? There are more generic pointing_at_<thing> tags that could be combined with directional_arrow, without having a separate set specifically for arrows.

It also seems like directional_arrow is handling somewhat separate concepts, one being diegetic "in scene" arrows like body writing:

Weeeell, that's actually the exact thought I had before posting this. The post I wanted to tag had a non-diegetic arrow for attention-drawing, yet the wiki entry for arrow_pointing_to_crotch (which was the case there) only mentions diegetic cases. There is motion_arrow, though, for that one case, but otherwise nothing to distinguish diegetic from not (either that or I'm way too sleep-deprived and couldn't find some existing appropriate tags).

But it seems like the choice is either more tags for all the variations, or some degree of ambiguity, since pointing_at_<thing>, I believe, usually describes a character pointing at whatever. So it would have to be describing a character pointing at whatever, unless accompanied by directional_arrow, in which case it's a drawn arrow, diegetic or otherwise. Or it may contain both a character pointing and a drawn arrow. Which sounds far too complex and inconvenient for the purposes of searching by tags.

IMO it'd be best to keep the arrow_pointing_at_<thing> tags and then add some (well, just two, really) for distinguishing diegetic and non-diegetic directional arrows. Heck, I'd be down to help populate them. But I'd let admins or mods decide, they have far more experience than me.

I think the best way might be to have directional_arrow as the umbrella tag and have a sub category which implies it called non-diegetic_arrow and have motion_arrow imply that.
