Topic: [REJECTED] Unimply from two *_pov tags

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #8986 has been rejected.

remove implication submissive_pov (3211) -> submissive (129149)
remove implication ambiguous_pov (1411) -> ambiguous_gender (302899)

Reason: If I understand TWYS correctly, submissive and ambiguous_gender shouldn't be implied by their respective *_pov tags because artworks can uniquely not show the pov character. In those artworks, submissive and ambiguous_gender aren't seen at all and therefore doesn't follow TWYS (because they belong to the viewer or "camera"). These consequent tags can also cause confusion because in the case of a submissive_pov post, the tag submissive can directly contradict what's on the artwork (dominant) and therefore shouldn't be automatically added.

That's not true. *_pov tags are for first_person_view, which require some part of the POV character being visible. If the POV character isn't visible, it shouldn't have *_pov tags (I know they still get tagged sometimes despite the POV character not being visible, but those are mistags).

I see, thank you. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I formed my definitions of said tags from lots of posts tagged with them incorrectly. The submissive_pov wiki page which I just found is enough information, but I feel then the TWYS policy for these kinds of pov posts might not be very intuitive for casual users.
