Topic: What actually defines a creepy comment? What is the criteria(s)?

Posted under General

Greetings and hope you're having a nice day.

To clear this up beforehand, I'm not someone who posts comments like these, nor have I ever received a warning about this. But as someone who browses this site a lot and therefor reads a lot of comments across artworks, I felt like there are several inconsistencies across the site when it comes to the creepy comments rule.

To give non-specific examples, nor any names, there have been times when comments appeared decently normal and have received a warning / record for creepy comments, example comment (altered and adjusted lightly to not be find-able): "I'd love her to be in my bed"

Now, yes, this comment essentially implies existing fantasies, but I would consider this comment to be anything but creepy. That's just me. However, in other cases I find certain comments much weirder (not necessarily creepy, but weird to write) which however remain... unnoticed. Despite the user posting comments like these from time to time. An example (altered again): "Mhh, time to really savor the ripeness~" < Actual comment scheme across the board, no records given.

Now if I were to compare these two comments, I feel like the distribution of records is switched up. While the first one appears rather harmless and doesn't really weird me out or anything, the second one in direct comparison would be more likely to draw a weird look or two from anyone reading. Not to mention that users of the first example appear to be more prone to future warnings due to their comments.

So, what actually is the criteria for creepy comments? And how is it detected / prosecuted? Just based off on user reports, or actual reviewing of individual cases?

And no, I'm not trying to bash against a site rule, but more so wanting clarification.

We don't "detect" anything, we work solely off of user reports
If a creepy comment hasn't been handled, no one has reported it

any and every kind of comment that explicitly implies sexual desire is a "creepy comment" or "inappropriate comment" around here, and both examples are equally deserving of a record

the only reason why the bed wedder guy got a warning and the ripeness savorier didn't was purely because the latter just wasn't spotted by a mod or anyone who cared for those kind of comments in general. plain and simple

if you see any comments like either of the examples you mentioned: please flag them for review. that merely raises the offending comment to staff which then will be reviewed by the mods and admins who are familiar with what counts as a creepy comment and what doesn't. if you don't want to risk a user getting any disiplinary actions for saying that they want to kiss a rahkshi with tounge then that's your choice, but just know that you're not going to be the sole arbiter of truth and justice; by flagging a comment you're merely bringing it to the attention of someone who is
