Messing is NOT aliased to soiling. Is there a reason for this?

Maybe messing if for messing the diaper in anyway like by wetting it, but soiling is only for feces?

I reckon we had a discussion about this last year, but I can't remember clearly which thread this was on.

I reckon we had a discussion about this last year, but I can't remember clearly which thread this was on.

Here's my understanding of relevant tags:

  • wet_diaper = urine in diaper (either actively peeing, or the aftermath of doing so)
  • soiled_diaper = feces in diaper (either actively pooping, or the aftermath of doing so)
  • used_diaper = seemingly an umbrella tag for wet_diaper and soiled_diaper, I guess, but no such implications have been created. (EDIT: Maybe it's meant to exclude actively wetting_diaper/messing_diaper???)
  • soiling = pooping in diaper/underwear/bottomwear
  • messing = seemingly the same thing as soiling. The wiki says it's for "bathroom habits of toddlers, pets, and characters who act as one", suggesting that it can be used for things like pooping_on_floor or sleep_shitting, but it's only rarely used this way.

Updated

Messing and soiling are absolutely synonymous in usage, always have been.

If you search for messing without soiling, there's hardly a page of posts.
