Reason: Here are my bulk requests for "brick."

Previously rejected on topic #31650. Brick was used to refer to a singular block, rather than of a structure built with it.
However, opinions seem to have changed since then with objects/structures now generally implying their materials.

Now the question is if brick_wall is purely used for walls made of bricks, or are other materials included as well (e.g., cinder_block, stone block)?

How about brick_(material) to differenciate from a singular brick?

This could also be done for other materials, like to differenciate stone as a material vs a singular stone.

half of posts tagged "brick" feature brick wall as a main component instead of one. we should implement "single_brick" tag to make a room for posts featuring a singular brick exclusively.

Should we make a disambiguation for this then?

How about brick_(object) for a single brick?

I believe that is the best path. There already exists a lot of brick_* tags as well, so I'm leaning towards that.

could *_disambiguation tags be made untaggable? because far too many posts end up tagged with them.

Why not have brick be an umbrella tag for the material and imply brick_(object), brick_wall, brick_floor, etc. to it?

Other than Brick being a common nickname for characters, I can see people just tagging brick and being done with it, rather than tagging the specific structure.
Then, there is also the question of whether we want to have tags for specific type of bricks since I can see a lot of non-red/clay bricks in brick.

Maybe have brick_(material) as the umbrella tag instead? We can also include implications for types of bricks to that as well.

As much as you hate to see it, they are here to stay.
You can make a feature request if you wish, and ask that uploads/tag edits be prevented if a single disambiguation tag is found.
