Aliasing arkaid → edis_krad

Reason:

Note: I actually want to do edis_krad, ediskrad -> arkaid, but I couldn't submit it that way because of the ediskrad -> edis_krad alias.

It's hard to track down direct evidence because the galleries on FA are both wiped, but I'm reasonably certain they are the same.

Evidence:

• post #153400 is tagged as arkaid here and ediskrad on wildcritters.ws
• post #21983 is tagged as arkaid but links to http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ediskrad/
• Everything I could find with the arkaid tag seems to be signed with "Edis"
• This result on google.
• Mentioned on 2 other sites that they are the same - 1 | 2 (screenshots because reasons)

If I recall correctly from years ago, some guys figured out who Edis was IRL and started threatening to expose his cub art to his employers or some such, so he went dark.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were true that they were the same person, but it seems to me like it would be one of those cases where they'd want their different account names separated (like how Kayla-Na keeps her pony art separate under BluntWhiskey) to avoid any IRL repercussions.

That seems pretty consistent with what I could dig up. It looks like arkaid might have been an attempt to obscure his name slightly as it's a newer account with a fake name. However, I don't know that there's any real obvious way to split the two types of art even if we wanted to.

Since all of it is under the pseudonym arkaid, and pseudonyms are generally preferred, it seems better to stick everything in arkaid to prevent further confusion.

I'm almost certain that edis_krad was also a pseudonym, just an older one that people were successfully able to link to the real person.

You're right, though. All but two images have had the edis_krad tag changed to arkaid by now. I definitely remember more back in the day. :/

All I can guess is to sift through the arkaid posts and check if the tag was changed from edis_krad, especially for the ones that link to the old edis account in their source and not to arkaid's.

I suppose it would also be helpful to mention that arkaid is still active on Inkbunny just in case you weren't already aware.

I'm pretty sure it's one of those case where the artist does not want the fact these two persona are connected to be too public. We usually honor that.

I wasn't aware; that's very helpful, actually.

Alright, I'm glad I could get in contact with them as they want to keep the two separate. I'll be going through the posts today to make sure everything is in the correct place.

Just to be clear, going forward any content posted to the arkaid account on should be tagged as arkaid.

Good to know something for sure on this (I was familiar with the small rumor about these two names but not with their own preferences on the matter). We'll keep them separate then, this thread will probably be good for future reference on the matter in case it ever comes up again and alias is deleted now.

The goal isn't to try and completely wipe all traces of evidence; it is far past the point where that is even possible (even before this thread was made). The goal is to have a plan in place to keep the two relatively separate content-wise, both so that it isn't immediately obvious that they are the same person, and as a courtesy to his watchers who might come onto here and accidently stumble into his more objectionable art (e.g., gore/scat).

To put it another way, the artist could have easily submitted a takedown a long time ago to help clear the evidence, but chose not to.
