it is quite weird to assume someone who has a fictional species as there sona/avatar character still consumes the source material, I'd have to imagine that quite a few people who have a pokémon as their avatar haven't played a game or watched the anime or anything since like gen 4. or heck, let's go further, how many people have MLP OCs that have literally never consumed any official media or purchased any official merchandise?

Say what you will about his motives, but it's a valid, and cutting, question.

Retail's actually pretty good right now. Especially if you're a casual like me but I've heard the "competitive" content is pretty good too. It really feels like they fired Danuser from the writing team and gave the team more time to work on fun things.

It's a different kind of game compared to classic though. Classic focuses more on the rpg aspect while retail feels more like an mmo if that makes any sense.
