Futanari and, more importantly, Bustyboy got aliased to Intersex. I assume similar tags like Cuntboy got mopped up when 'morphs' were added (Gynomorph, andromorph). Given that there IS no tag, let alone morph, for otherwise male character boasting breasts, as andromorph and maleherm only concern themselves with genitals and Moobs are defined as not breasts, I think this was a misstep that effectively removed an entire tag and banished all of its content to exile in plain sight, buried with all the more traditionally intersex art.

Basically I wish we didn't kill the tag and think it should be resurrected until an effective replacement that fulfils its niche is presented. The saying used to go "There are no girls with dicks, just men with tits" and I for one enjoyed that fact, but now we're in a situation of the opposite- no men with tits, just chicks with dicks, and some guys with pussies.

If I missed something that would make my assertion wrong, please tell me.

I would argue no, because Bustyboys were male in all other aspects- including genitalia. You were putting female tits on a male body while keeping everything else intact.

Since you mentioned it though, that would be interesting. I have no idea what kind of tag you'd give to an otherwise masculine character with breasts and vagina, since Andromorph/Cuntboy would cover the Male+Pussy combination and there's no tags regarding the presence or absence of female breasts for males.

posts with this situation are generally tagged with gynomorph male_(lore) since most-all cases are difficult or impossible to determine a difference via visuals alone.

there is busty_boy which still functions, is part of a still pending BUR, and has been added to posts as recently as last month.

The main problem by e621 standards is that you can't visually tell the difference between bustyboys and futanaris or dickgirls or whatever you want to call them. So they are, understandably, all grouped together under one tag, namely "gynomorph". The problem is that this makes it difficult to find male-identifying gynomorphs (ironically enough, considering by any reasonable biological standard they're more male than female). You might say "what difference does it make?" but it matters to some people. As it stands, your best bet is to search for gynomorph male_(lore), but this obviously will return many extraneous results and miss out on others (since lore tags are often inconsistently applied).

How is that different from a masculine gynomorph? A gynomorph is a character with a penis (and balls, depending on species) and no pussy, just like a male, with the addition of female-like breasts. With that they can either have a more feminine or masculine body type.

female+masculine would be for a character that has pussy, breasts, no penis or balls, and a male body.

Traditionally site doctrine considers the presence/absence of female breasts or male pectoral definition as a major determining factor in Bodytype, before examining the rest of the body's form. Bureaucratically, if you put female breasts on a character they're female-bodied here.

It exists because the bustyboy people make a new slightly different tag every time it's aliased away. Also a lot of those posts are Dracojeff who from what I've seen draws characters female-bodied from the neck-down which isn't female breasts on a male body either.

That wiki does suggest tomboy though.. which also isn't really a bodytype thing and discourages tagging alongside larger breasts.

Hmm, yes, the masculine/manly/feminine/girly tags are rather messy. Masculine and feminine are aliased to manly and girly respectively, but masculine/manly isn't the inverse of feminine/girly as you'd expect from the names.

I know this is an old forum, but it would be nice to see the bustyboy tag return.

🤷 I think it was a staff member who told me to tag it that way, but of course staff aren't a monolith

Still though, does it really make sense to tag that image as female? it's a similar problem to the busty boy characters

those do seem more like moobs than breasts to me, so andromorph makes sense.

I feel like the best approach when tagging edge cases like this is to just like ignore (or actually cover, if necessary) the character's genitals and try to work out whar you'd tag the character then. so, in this case, without the genitals visible this is like 100% a male with moobs by my judgement.
