Topic: [REJECTED] Adult_(lore) BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #5393 has been rejected.

remove alias adult_character (0) -> adult_(lore) (4034)

Reason: As the wiki says.
UNLESS we want to change the wiki so that adult_(lore) be used for ANY Adult character despite appearance, i believe it SHOULD imply young. No exceptions.

Also, I believe that the possible missuse of adult_(lore) may come from the adult_character alias. I hoping this should remove the mistake if not reduce it.

I'm BEGGING YOU ALL. READ THE WIKI.

(Part 2 Alias adult_character -> invalid_tag)

A good idea in theory, but in cases where people add adult_(lore) just to be extra sure a character that doesn't look young is noted to be definitely an adult, such posts would get erroneously tagged as young. So rather than simply removing the incorrect adult_(lore) tag when a character isn't tagged young, we'd have to consider if young is valid before removing both adult_(lore) and young. And I feel people will be more hesitant to remove young to avoid getting in trouble for removing a contentious content tag in case it was actually valid.

This makes sense.

people are already doing the opposite of what you said, over a dozen cases of adult_(lore) originally tagged young had their young removed, possibly from tag wars, i haven't gotten too deep into investigating. i've been hesitant on some posts who either a. had young but got it removed even though adult_(lore) was there or b. controversial artists such as milachu, dacad, and ninevolt.

i know the implication might be a bit harsh, but i do see it as a bit of a punishment for not reading the wiki. but from the lack luster votes, if it really does sound like a bad idea, i'll probably drop the implication.

It's probably not a good idea to add implications as a form of punishment lol.

Here we go again, another confusing wiki page that confuses people. Though, why removing the alias? What and why for?
