Reason: Alias a less-popular plural to a more-popular singular. If you have mercenaries, you have at least one mercenary.

There might be an argument that "mercenary" is TWYK in the first place. There are at least a couple of comic posts where a character mentions that they were hired to do something, so I think it would be TWYS in those situations.
