Nope. It refers to a comic actually. I'd mentioned this particular comic in forum #141596 a few months ago (seeking to remove the tag in favor of pools) and the idea was shot down.

Well someone just used it outside of that comic, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were to come up again. I have MLP blacklisted, so how about you go and create a pool for it? Just call it something like "Incestous: An MLP Comic By *insert artist here*" As for a comic tag "incestuous_(mlp_comic)" will do.

It's already a pool. MLP: Incestuous

It never occurred to me to rename the tag though. I think incestuous_(comic) would do fine. Unless the admins have an issue with it, I'd like to suggest we do this in the future for comic/pool tags. We could probably just leave the ones with names like "a_gay_furs_journey_through_highschool" for convenience, but it might be a good idea to rename anything that are either actual tags (tail_sex) or are likely to be confused with actual tags (e.g., girl_dick, werewolf_transformation, lesson, etc.). I would recommend we pool any we find if possible just to be consistent.

Proposal summary:

• Rename pool/comic tags that are likely to be confused with real tags as "name_(comic)"
• Leave tags that are obviously not related to real tags anyways (to upset less of the current system, and to reduce workload)
• Pool any that aren't pooled already as we find them

I think this would be a good idea. The only reason why it was shot down to remove the comic name as a tag, is because Pools needs some things worked out to be more functional, so having it as a tag as well is still useful.

So that means: They do need a pool, but they also still need the tag.

However, there's nothing wrong with clarifying the tag so that instead of being tagged incestuous which is easy to use as a literal tag, it gets tagged with incestuous_(comic) (or in this case, it looks like it got tagged as mlp:_incestuous, which is a structure I've never seen used as tags, but I suppose using a different structure for pool tags might not be that bad of an idea. I guess we'll see how well it works).

When the pools system gets improved, we'll be able to drop those extra tags (potentially) since they do somewhat duplicate the pool system and I understand wishing they could be deleted to tidy things up. But until pool search etc works better, we need both the tag for it and the Pool with them in it to keep everything as functional as possible.

And since the comic tag conflict has been handled, (and the comic is old so it's not likely to be used that way again) the alias is approved.

Yeah, I decided to just go with the pool name for convenience since it was both more descriptive and less likely to be confused with other things. We might be able to go with pool:_name or comic:_name for convenience, but it seems a little weird to me. For now I'll just take it as a case-by-case basis and perhaps keep a log for later use so if we decide to go with a different system I have a few tags handy that can be easily renamed.
