The bulk update request #6397 is pending approval.

remove alias cutie_mark_crusaders (0) -> cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp) (2257)
remove alias cutie_mark_crusader (0) -> cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp) (2257)
remove alias cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp)_ (0) -> cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp) (2257)
create alias cutie_mark_crusaders_(eg) (7) -> equestria_girls (4627)

Reason: I don't love this one either for the same reasons. The wiki mentions the cmc emblem and cape, but those should have their own tags instead.

part 2:
alias cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp) -> friendship_is_magic
alias cutie_mark_crusaders -> friendship_is_magic
alias cutie_mark_crusader -> friendship_is_magic
alias cutie_mark_crusaders_(mlp)_ -> friendship_is_magic

I think there's still some merrit to tagging bands/teams/groups/whatever with a collective character tag. I do feel like our method of tagging them might be a bit odd, though. maybe the tags shouldn't just be "every post where all characters in <group> appear".

like, with the idol groups from Splatoon, maybe it should just be for posts when they're performing music or doing something else officially as the group, and then when the characters are just doing other stuff, hanging out together in street clothes, just living in their apartments, or whatever else the characters get up to when they're not being public figures (I heard a lot of the time they're depicted having sex, can you imagine?).

I'm not sure how this would extend to groups like the CMCs, because, correct me if I'm wrong, there's not really the same kind of separation possible there. there isn't any sort of "official Cutie Mark Crusaders business", that's just, like, the name they've given their friend group.

What's your opinion on kindred_(lol)?

I don't know anything about league, but if it's the same deal as the squid sisters tag, then I think it should go too. But again I've never played league and have no idea who this is.

This is a good idea. The CMC kind of have official business? They meet in a little clubhouse and try to earn their cutie marks.
