Topic: [REJECTED] Character owner BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Yeah, those should be in descriptions or character Wiki entries, not tags. I try to make sure to add them for when I bulk upload a bunch of the same character. i.e. The blue dragon character I added an entry for, recently.

BTW, uploader forgot the descriptions. Sigh, guess I'll get to it. XD

https://e621.net/posts?tags=paledrake+-*%28paledrake%29 I noticed that literally almost all of them have character name tags with owner in them, so stopped copying descriptions. Alerted artist/uploader that I added some missing descriptions and put note on Wiki entry because it's likely going away.

create alias paledrake (417) -> invalid_tag (3)

Reason: This appears to be a character owner/commissioner tag, which are typically invalidated.

I'm not the one that made the Paledrake tag but I'd argue the tag is fitting for the story that the characters come from under the same name than some commissioner tag and is appropriate to stay.
After all, they do all originate from my writing.

If it's part of a story or setting called "Paledrake", it may be fine to stay for images relating to the story/setting. In that case, writing a small blurb about it in its wiki page would be helpful to avoid future misconceptions about it being an owner/commissioner name.

Yeah, I can see where the confusion came from. I highly recommend that artists add info on their characters and such here. It already helped more than a few keep track of things in their stories, I bet!

I usually copy YCH or the like descriptions precisely because it often includes a link to the commissioner or character owners. Attribution is important and it's convenient that it already is there.

My apologies. Again I didn't make the tag myself so wouldn't have known to do that. The tagging system (which is constantly evolving aha) is still new to myself.
