Topic: [APPROVED] Virginia disambiguation

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #4205 is active.

create alias virginia (0) -> virginia_(disambiguation) (1)
change category virginia_(disambiguation) (1) -> invalid

Reason: Currently, two of the three remaining images refer to the US state of Virginia. Should this be allowed to continue to exist as a tag?

Aside from the large number of characters by this name, this tag occasionally shows up as a typo for virginia_opossum. Also two of the images I disambiguated turned out to be a new type of species, which I've never had happen to me before.

EDIT: The bulk update request #4205 (forum #358217) has been approved by @gattonero2001.

The third image is this one, which was tagged as "Virginia" by its uploader:

post #1830452

The same uploader also tagged "Virginia" on one of its siblings (but not its other sibling or its parent), but later removed the tag.

The only other post that user has added the "Virginia" tag to is this one, which seems to be a different character entirely:

post #1832155

They also removed the tag from that post after adding it.

Browsing their uploads, I can see two other posts which appear to be the same character:

post #1837771 post #1822629

The first one has a source, and I managed to find a source for the second one, but neither source betrays any hint as to who the owner of the character might be (except to clarify that it is not the artist).

I don't suppose anyone might know anything more?

I don't see why not. Although they (at least the one on the picture of the US) should be retagged as virginia_(state). One doesn't have the state itself visible, but is apparently referring to the text on the sign, so it can probably be safe to remove.
